Blocked energy in our 7 Chakras can often lead to illness so it’s important to understand what each Chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. The word Chakra is Sanskrit for wheel or disk, they are called chakras because one of the ways that these energy centres were perceived by the ancient seers was as spinning disks. There are said to be 7 major chakras associated with the human body, 4 Chakras in the upper body and three in the lower body. The chakras do not actually exist as “objects” They are actually energy patterns. Each chakra is shaped like a whirlpool of energy.

3)      Solar Plexus – The solar plexus chakra is located in the upper abdomen in the stomach area and represents, self-worth, self-confidence, self-esteem, & Creation of one’s self

4)      Heart – The heart chakra is located at the centre of our chest just above the heart and represents Universal Love, Empathy, joy and inner peace

5)      Throat  – The throat chakra is located in the throat area. And represents communication, self-expression of feelings and Creative expression.

6)      3rd Eye – The third eye chakra is located on the forehead between the eyes  ( this can also known as the brow chakra) The 3rd eye represents wisdom, the abilty to think and make decisions and most importantly our Psychic intuition

7)      Crown – The crown chakra is located on the very top of our head and represents our connection to spirituality, Spiritual perfection and Totality of beingness.

Each chakra has a colour of the rainbow associated with it.  This was first introduced by the Theosophist Society in the early twentieth century. The rainbow is a commonly accepted colour scheme that is related to the vibrational frequencies of the different colours of light. The red light is a lower frequency than the blue light, so the red chakra must be at a lower frequency than the blue chakra.

 Clearing your chakras.

There are times when you feel your energy being depleted and all you need is a quick cleansing of the chakras. Here Is a quick way to clear your chakras.

Visualise a large beam of bright, crystal white light coming into the top of your head. Allow the light to flow down through your crown chakra clearing out all the darkness in the chakra, visualise the light slowly flowing down through the third eye moving the light down through the throat chakra down to the heart chakra, to the solar plexus all the time the crystal bright white light is filling your entire body and clearing all the darkness from your chakras.

Continue to move the light down through the sacral chakra all the way down to the root chakra at the base of your spine.  Now visualize all the chakras becoming illuminated perfectly balanced in size and gleaming brightly.
