Reiki Symbols

The Reiki symbols are considered sacred and should be respected as such. At one time they would have to be learned, memorized and then destroyed before the student left the school so as to protect them. In modern times they have become widely available through books and the internet.

The symbols can be used by being `drawn’ over the client and can also be `visualized’ by the practitioner. It is the `Intent’ by which they are used that increases the power.

The symbols serve as a focus for the energy to be sent through time and space. They amplify the energy and allow it to be sent anywhere in the world to people, situations, disasters, the planet, you name it.

Use the symbols over the chakra points and anywhere you feel needs a boost. The great thing is you cannot do any harm with them.

The symbols are unique in that there is a link between the Reiki Master who implanted them into your Aura during attunement and the ones you have been given to use in practice. They have to be the same to carry the power.

Reiki 1- Part 1 gives you the opportunity to learn about the art of healing, along with the meaning and history, a background of 2 major Reiki masters and the ethical principals of Reiki and how Reiki works. Information is given on the preparation for treatment and safety tips, giving and performing Reiki on yourself and information on the different organs within our bodies.  Finally the Chakras, including their location, how they are governed and what happens when they are blocked.

Reiki 1 – Part 2 explains about the hand positions, gives you grounding exercises to practice, talks about the heart of the earth, the Reiki treatment and using the treatment on others (with practical tips).

 

This section concludes with the treatment of specific areas, different ways of using Reiki, the links with colour therapy and crystal healing and the explanation of the five spiritual principles. Finally there is information on taking Reiki further, including the attunement process.
